My m² Earth

| December 10, 2015 | Leave a Comment

The Earth’s surface covers approximately 510 Billion square meters. Most of them are affected by mankind, today more than ever before. Against this background, My m² Earth raises the question, on which spot of Earth people identify local aspects of global change within their everyday life.

Starting on 16 October 2015 and taking place before and during the 2. German Future Earth Summit in Berlin from 28-29 January 2016, this online exhibition will grow continuously. The results will be presented at the conference itself, and a prize will be awarded to the most interesting photographs.

The project was initiated by the Integrative Research Institute on Transformations of Human-Environment Systems (IRI THESys) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, in cooperation with the German Committee Future Earth.
