This special issue of the International Journal of Disaster Risk Science aims to provide critical academic analyses of the  Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, an agreement put forth during the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction held March 14-18, 2015.

As the SFDRR moves into the stages of implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and critiquing the contributing authors aim to present different approaches and themes that they hope will encourage others to continue to critically examine the SFDRR’s progress.

The views and opinions expressed through the MAHB Website are those of the contributing authors and do not necessarily reflect an official position of the MAHB. The MAHB aims to share a range of perspectives and welcomes the discussions that they prompt.
