Why Join the MAHB?
Everyone is welcome to the website, to work with like-minded groups and individuals from around the world, receive updates on MAHB activities and use the ever growing library of best-in-class reference material on the issues threatening humanity and strategies for overcoming these threats. The MAHB is a community sharing a mission and a vision for the future, recognizing that there are many ways to build common knowledge and many voices required to accelerate the urgent momentum needed to create a sustainable and equitable future for all humanity.
However, there are additional benefits to joining the MAHB. As a member, you receive occasional “newsflashes” on breaking events, regular blogs on issues threatening human welfare, and have access to our Forum, a meeting place for organizations and individuals who share the MAHB mission, which is to:
Foster, fuel and inspire a global dialogue on the interconnectedness of activities causing environmental degradation and social inequity;
Create and implement strategies for shifting human cultures and institutions towards sustainable practices and an equitable and satisfying future.
There are two categories of MAHB members—groups called Nodes and individuals known as Associates. Spanning the globe, members may be formal civil society groups, informal groups of like-minded people, or individuals.
Nodes and Associates can meet in the forum, network, ask questions, and join forces on projects and programs. They can work together on initiatives, share resources, and amplify the voice of civil society so that positive change is accelerated.
Another advantage of becoming a Node or Associate is that you have a webpage on the MAHB site and can share your mission, goals, concerns, projects, programs and activities with a broader audience. Your page is available to all visitors to the MAHB site and can draw visitors to your primary website.
Nodes and Associates are listed on the MAHB website, share work, receive emails and newsletters, and participate as desired in communication efforts within MAHB.
Join the MAHB and help transform progressive civil society into an increasingly powerful force for positive change.
