Green jobs are ones that are environmentally conscientious. They are the jobs you want to have if you are in any way concerned about the environment or global warming. These jobs are growing fast in this environmentally conscious society.

These jobs take into account the environment and what the earth will look like for future generations. Here are nine fast-growing green jobs:

1. Urban Growers

Rather than pollute the environment with trucks shipping fruits and vegetables into urban settings, some people have become urban gardeners. Urban gardeners use spots like rooftops to design gardens that will help sustain the neighborhood and surrounding businesses. Restaurants are using more foods from urban growers to stop the environmental pollution from shipping their food in from the country. Urban growers are knowledgeable about agriculture and produce that can be grown in their area.

2. Solar Cell Technicians

Solar cell technicians install and maintain solar cells around the world to help people get energy from the sun. This is one of the cleanest forms of energy you can produce. Solar power costs less than gas or oil and is much better for the environment. The United States has increased its solar power and there is a call for more solar cell technicians as solar farms and individual users increase.

3. Water Quality Technicians

Water is now one of the most precious resources on the planet. There are places running out of drinking water and other places where water is too polluted to drink. Water quality technicians help to maintain the quality of water for people so they do not get sick from dirty or ill-maintained water. As the quality of drinking water decreases around the world it is imperative to hire water quality technicians in order to keep your drinking water fresh and pure.

4. Clean Car Designers

Clean cars are the future if you want to have an impact on global warming. Clean car designers help to keep our air clean and our water and land fresh and pure from oil and gas. Clean cars will be less expensive to drive and will use more green energy. You are already seeing an increase in cars that are using both gas and electricity. Imagine a car that did not need either. Use an online resume builder to brush up your resume and get a job in this lucrative industry.

5. Green Design

Around the world people are trying to build more environmentally sustainable buildings. There are homes built from recycled tires and other recycled products. Getting a foot in the door of green design will expose you to a world of clean energy, economic sustainability, and great jobs. Green design is being used around the world and people are building homes and other buildings that will keep the earth green for your children to enjoy.

6. Wind Energy

You are already seeing windmills across the country. Getting a job as a wind energy technician will help use wind power instead of coal, gas, or oil. Wind power is one of the cleanest forms of energy you can use. The windmills you see today will be developed more and turned into better windmills in the future. Consider a job as a wind energy technician and keep the earth green.

7. Conservation Biologists

Biologists have their ears and eyes turned towards the planet. A conservation biologist is one who is concerned with conserving the earth and the species that inhabit the earth. Biodiversity is an important part of keeping the earth green and full of life. Conservation biologists work with all sorts of things to help with global warming. They work with different species, water, soil, and other important elements of the planet. This is one of the green jobs that has you right in the thick of environmental consciousness.

8. Recycling

Once you have thrown your papers or bottles into a recycling bin they are carried away and redeveloped into different products that are environmentally sustainable. Designing new recycling plants and new ways to use recycled materials are just two of the many different jobs involved with recycling. Helping to reuse our resources will help the plant sustain itself and will help quelch deforestation and other man-made disasters.

9. Waves

When you are standing knee-deep in the ocean and a wave comes along you can feel the power behind that wave. Wave energy producers are trying to harness that power and use it to power generators and other things on land. Through the use of hydraulic cylinders, these wave machines can generate electricity to power hundreds of houses. This is a small but fast-growing part of green jobs.

With global warming on the rise, it is now more important than ever to turn out energy sources green. From oil spills that slick our oceans and kill the wildlife to collapses in the coal mines that kill people, we need to use more green energy before we destroy the planet.
