Immersive theatre lays bare climate dilemmas

The year is 2050.

Miami has been abandoned due to rising sea levels, water austerity is hitting a drought-ridden London and the CEOs of two major energy companies have been imprisoned for historic climate crimes.

Presiding over these developments are the agents of New Atlantis, an organisation established to guide Humanity through the most pressing issues of the 21st century.

But there are those who would stand in their way…

Audience members became agents and joined LAStheatre for an evening of award winning immersive theatre in collaboration with real scientists and engineers from UCL, Pennine Water Group and Rutherford Appleton Space Lab.

LAStheatre performed New Atlantis at The Crystal Royal Victoria Docks, London, UK from January 19th through 25th.  To learn more, click here.
