A lot of discussion thus far has centered on how art can affect viewers. What about the effect it has on the artists, the people creating it?
In her post to the MAHB Blog, Lucia deLeiris provided incredible descriptions of the polar landscapes her work centers on. Her obvious care for these places made me wonder how her time spent carefully observing and rendering them has shaped her perceptions.
As an artist, do you feel art has facilitated and/or altered the relationship you have with your subject matter?
