Ecological Sustainability in Healthcare

This node explores the emerging field of sustainability in healthcare. Research interests include life cycle assessment (LCA) of healthcare practice, quantifying energy, greenhouse gas emissions, human health impacts, and economic densities of clinical supplies, clinician behaviours and care pathways to help guide clinical decision making toward more ecologically sustainable practices. Collaboration with environmental engineers, epidemiologists and health economists aids this goal.
