World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity

In 1992 the first World Scientists’ Warnings to Humanity was issued, co-signed by over 1700 scientists and social scientists. Then in late 2017, after 25 years, finding that little had been done to address the stressors outlined in 1992, a Second Notice was published as a peer-reviewed article in BioScience. Over 22,000 scientists and social scientists have signed this World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity – Second Notice.
This node is intended as a forum for strategizing and rallying public support in the form of scientists signatories and both individual and organizational endorsements for the http://ScientistsWarning.org initiative, being conducted in collaboration with the authors of the Second Notice.
The ultimate aim of the initiative is to create a global Ecological Movement to unite the many environmental organizations into a cohesive force for changing the existing paradigms of society that are disrupting and destroying the biosphere and thereby the habitability of Earth.
