Dear friends of the MAHB,
The time has come for the Millennium Alliance for Humanity and the Biosphere (MAHB) to find a new home.
We are looking for an organization/group that would like to take the MAHB to a new level by fostering this dynamic platform for global society to engage with the polycrisis. The MAHB currently welcomes 40-50,000 visits to its website a month. We envision a clean move with no long arm from the past (unless its new home finds that valuable).
Our criteria are simple. We are seeking an institution that, like the MAHB, has research and civil credibility and is also:
- rooted in systems thinking and aware of the need to reach out to the broader civil society if we want to help address the multi-faceted challenges that led to the human/planetary predicament;
- recognizes that the existential threats facing civilization are interconnected and is able to work across disciplines; and
- fosters a welcoming environment for diverse communities including scholars, practitioners, and civil society – especially social justice and young voices.
Your help in finding interested parties and the right candidate would be greatly appreciated; please email Executive Director Joan Diamond at diamondjm@comcast.net or Dr. Sibylle Frey at sibylle@mahbonline.org.
Thank you.
