Climate Sensitivity, Target Temperature & the Carbon Budget: Guidelines for Strategic Action

“By how much does the Earth System amplify the effects of anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gasses?”

In a presentation to the Alternative Business Club David Wasdell, director of the Apollo-Gaia Project, summarizes 10 years of work dedicated to forming the most robust answer to this question. The results highlight some of the fundamental flaws in the scientific foundation of the strategic proposals at the heart of the Paris negotiations. The presentation also argues for the use of Climate Sensitivity as the fundamental parameter for guiding policymaking in response to Climate Change.
