A new economic model for a finer future
Leading For Well-Being puts forth its memorandum on how the economic narrative can be reframed around well-being, dignity and a healthy planet:
The mission of Leading For Well-Being is to… Drive change in all the world’s institutions, especially business, so they function to implement the new narrative of individual dignity and freedom achieved through shared well-being (prosperity and flourishing) on a healthy planet.
Unlike neoliberalism, which is based on an incomplete view of what it means to be human, a new economic model must balance our innate entrepreneurialism and individualism with a holistic view of humanity that recognizes fairness and our desire to bond with others.
The group outlines intentions for transforming: culture, business, finance, the education system, the political system, civil society, self through cultivating consciousness, and media, with recognition for needed attention to agriculture and energy as well. You can learn more here.
