In commemoration of World Water Day, Development Alternatives recently spearheaded a series of impactful events aimed at addressing critical issues surrounding water conservation, management, and cultural significance. Collaborating with esteemed partners such as the Climate Reality Project, NIUA, W. for. W Foundation, and WICCI, these events provided a platform for experts, policymakers, practitioners, and cultural enthusiasts to come together and engage in meaningful dialogue and action.

Ganga impacts and touches millions of lives through its journey. But the ever-growing tonnage of plastic being dumped into the river has made it one of the top 10 rivers in the world to carry plastic to the ocean. This video highlights the initiatives taken up by Development Alternatives in the cities of Haridwar and Prayagraj in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh respectively, to challenge the plastic being dumped into the river by directly engaging with a variety of stakeholders including government officials, faith-based institutions, civil society organizations, volunteer groups and academics.
