Under 2 MOU: Subnational Global Climate Leadership Memorandum of Understanding

The Under 2 MOU brings together states and regions willing to commit to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and will galvanize action at the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) in Paris this December.

On May 19, 2015 leaders of 12 states and provinces signed an agreement to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions 80-95%, or limit to 2 metric tons CO2-equivlanet per capita, by 2050. Jurisdictions are invited to sign the MOU up to COP21 in December.
