September 27th, 7:00 pm (PDT)

Sierra Club San Francisco Bay Chapter | 2530 San Pablo Ave #1, Berkeley, CA

The Sierra Club’s San Francisco Bay Chapter Population, Health & Environment Committee invites you to join filmmaker and conservationist Chris Austria and Suzanne York, director of Transition Earth. They will talk about their recent trip to Uganda, and what is working on the ground to empower people with jobs and health. This includes family planning, and the efforts to protect nature and the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Chris will show some of his Uganda wildlife footage and also discuss the filming of his documentary on Dr. Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka, founder of Conservation Through Public Health.

If you are not able to attend, Transition Earth is planning to use Facebook Live for the event. You can follow Transition Earth to learn more.  More about the upcoming event can be found here.
