On September 25th the proposed Sustainable Development Goals will be presented for adoption during the UN Sustainable Development Summit 2015. As part of a new sustainable development agenda for the coming 15 years, the 17 global goals focus on ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for all.

Experts remain divided on the value of the SDGs, and their predecessor the Millennium Development Goals. Andrew Jack explores some of these differing opinions in his article, which can be accessed through the link above.
