Marine biologists are working diligently to help restore Hawai‘i’s coral reefs and enhance their ability to withstand an ever-warming ocean. Yet these efforts will likely be doomed unless all citizens reduce local stressors to our reefs, including run-off of silt and fertilizers, poor sewage disposal, and overfishing. Everyone shares the kuleana to save our coral reefs.
