Taking Action in a Time of Crisis: Live, Online Event
April 3, 2019, 1:30 PM PST / 4:30 PM EST
Join Post Carbon Institute for a lively, web-based conversation with three people who answered the call of environmental activism in different ways—Tim DeChristopher, who risked his freedom to oppose fossil fuel extraction on public lands; Sarah Peters, an environmental engineer who won public office on a climate change platform; and Nick Tilsen, who is creating a regenerative, sustainable future for his community on the Oglala Lakota Native American reservation.
Their stories may sound remarkable, but they will be the first to say that each and every one of us can—and must—take action in our own way right now to save ourselves and the planet.
During the 90-minute online event we’ll explore these three different paths of engagement and come away with concrete ideas for how you, too, can answer the question: “So what do I do?”
Funds raised from this event will support Post Carbon Institute’s efforts to educate and inspire many more people to respond with urgency and boldness to the defining challenges of our time.
