BirdLasser is a social conservation catalyst that strives to convert casual birders to citizen scientists without breaking a sweat. Our mobile app enables beginners and competitive twitchers to record bird sightings, share these with friends and community, and seamlessly contribute to conservation. As at June 2014, the app only caters for species of Southern Africa (Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland) but we’re in the process of scaling out into the rest of Africa. Our app is free, so is our data to conservation and research causes.
